Bert B. Globus founded Globus Electric in 1945, as the war ended in Europe. Bert B. Globus realized the need for quality electrical installations to expand industry in the Essex & Union Counties area. New homes were being built as our soldiers arrived home, retail businesses were expanding, manufacturers were retooling from the war effort, and electricians were few and far between. With the return of the soldiers, he had a ready-made workforce and the knowledge to train them. As Newark & Elizabeth thrived with their ports, so did Globus Electric. The second generation, led by Joel Globus, is still growing today, and in 2024, we celebrate our 79th year in business.
