KYD, Inc., dba K. Yamada Distributors, is a local family-owned business. We started as a florist and florist supply distributor in the 1940's. With the florist supply business generating more of our business and reacting to the needs of our customers, we evolved into a packaging company in 1958.

As a distributor, our company is very much alive and is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our customers. Our product lines have expanded to include retail and institutional food products such as salad dressing, jams, jellies, mustards, salsas, chicken broth, and vegetarian meat substitutes. We also distribute cleaning chemicals, paper goods, and other janitorial supplies.

 As a packaging company, we extrude both low and high- density polyethylene, convert barrier and non-barrier films. As a manufacturer, we are committed to efforts to preserve our environment by recycling low- density polyethylene scrap generated in our manufacturing process.
     Our main office is located at 2949 Koapaka Street in the Airport Business District. Our manufacturing plant is at 747 Umi Street in Kalihi. We also have distributors on the other outer islands.
