Content and frequency. And bottom line, is it worth the effort of getting that content together.

Very common question and frustration, Audrey! Im looking over the Goddess at the Grindstone page now, and I can think of a lot of things you could do! Especially since you have a podcast - think of yourself as producing 1 piece of content that will be distributed on multiple channels, and not the other way around - it makes it easier. It can be hard to see the bottom line with social - it is VERY much about the long-tail when it comes to content - so, let's keep it simple! For you, you are an educator. Simply going Live on Facebook or Instagram and sharing your thoughts on specific topics women struggle with when starting business can be amazing content! And that live video can be saved and shared on all the social platforms.

Hey Chad, I appreciate your response very much.

Maury measuring response  has always been my thing. If I spend x amount of time and get x amount of comment/like but nothing comes from it, what now? As in, no one interested enough to chat me up, listen to a podcast or even comment on one; why am I doing this?

The P&G info is VERY eye opening. They have brand recognition, however, we independents do not. I do know I need a social presence, it is important to move forward if I want to have any kind of sizable influence but, it comes back to the amount of time and energy to expend on it. Does it have any meaning to me now? At this phase?

Chad, I have done lives plenty of times and I like doing them. I am shifting things up and will be doing more of them again. The thing is, nothing ever really seems to come from it. My reach does not increase. On IG, it just gets me more of the crappy people looking to "help" me get 1000's of new followers! I do NOT want followers, I want customers and people to influence.

I guess the question comes back to; how much is too much time spent on creating content? How much is too much time getting out there and chatting it up with others? What percentage of my business time is justifiable for this avenue? It seems like a black hole of time suck to me. What kind of ROI are we ultimately looking for?
