Karen, I would recommend that you look into joining organizations like Kiwanis, Rotary, Elks Club, etc.  You should consider setting groups for any organizations you join as fund raisers for the group.  Also, look at your church.  You should be able to get the email list for the church or any group you join.  Use that for email marketing.
