About Us

Tired of hearing the same song and dance from marketing reps that never offer anything new to the conversation? We are not your average marketing partner! We take the time to complete a full "physical" of your digital assets, "diagnose" pain points, "adjust" according to budget AND "prescribe" a strategy that will meet and exceed your practice goals using measurable results.

How We Got Started

I fell in love with radio on the first day of college. After 4 years of immersing myself in the power of broadcast media at Elon University and 89.3 WSOE, I continued my journey with Clear Channel Radio - Greensboro, NC while maintaining my part-time career as a Nationally Certified Pharmacy Technician at Eckerd Pharmacy. As roads diverged, I decided to pursue a career in medical sales - which led to 5-years of extensive sales preparation through copier sales at Toshiba Business Solutions prior to a 5-year career with Olympus America as an Associate Medical Device Sales Representative with a multi-specialty focus covering the state of Hawaii and Pacific Rim geographies. In hope of creating an even "healthier Hawaii", I combined my medical knowledge with my media background and joined Salem Media Group of Hawaii - now known as Malama Media Group. Our mission - to tend, care for, attend to, preserve and protect - your business / practice! How can I help?

If a physician still has the courage to stand on their own and NOT join as an employee of a hospital group, BRAVO! As reimbursement reduces every year, understand which procedures / treatments bring in the most money to your practice. Then figure out "who" needs these procedures / treatments and market to them. Marketers can then customize a package that meets your budget AND targets the "perfect patient".

What insurance is accepted and how to reach those members to make sure they get PAID? A physician takes an oath to care for their patient. The marketer must take the same oath to locate the patients in need of this care. Do. Your. Research.

Using a combination of "sponsored" social and "organic" social media management. What is "sponsored" social, you ask? This form of PAID social media marketing allows practices to target PAST the basic "boosted" audience using 2-3 characteristics commonly found in their "perfect patient". We are then able to locate NEW patients that fit this profile based on co-morbidity and health research KEYWORDS while displaying ads to them on the platforms most visited in their free time - social media! Unfortunately, marketing professionals know all too well the story of the exciting, new product that has incredible potential with zero marketing budget because of growing pains during production that drain the marketing/advertising bucket. Start with a strong endgame - a professional website with aggressive SEO. Many forget that if a product fills a need that is being sought after, it will organically be found. This strong foundation allows you to drive traffic through social media next - both nonpaid and paid - and mass media like radio and television (try "trade" and "testimonial" advertising first to avoid exorbitant commercial invoices).

I’d like to think the combination of the following items make me successful to any business owner as a marketing consultant: the ability to listen, uncover pain points, create custom ideas that alleviate pain points AND communicate realistic ROI expectations.  (more) I’d like to think the combination of the following items make me successful to any business owner as a marketing consultant: the ability to listen, uncover pain points, create custom ideas that alleviate pain points AND communicate realistic ROI expectations.

I may be a little biased since this is part of our portfolio of products, however, reflecting back on my personal researching and shipping habits, a business with a professional “endgame” (website) and up-to-date promotions/information (consistent Social Media usage) shows they care about their business AND their customers. Those that take the time to build a digital empire receive more interaction when all information channels are webbed together properly to provide ease-of-use and efficiency in obtaining information. The customer service of such businesses is usually top notch as well, including but not limited to, quick response times to questions (aka buying signals).
