How We Got Started

The company really started in the Bay Area in the 80s where I was hired as a salesperson for a Progressive POS company. We sold electronic cash registers, POS systems and credit authorization terminals.
I was successful very quickly and rose to the top salesman with national awards. Because of my exposure to computers and computer programming in the early 70's, I acquired some accounts based on my understanding of Technology. Some of those accounts were Round Table Pizza chain, Mrs. Field cookies and the US Navy International lodges.
Due to a family situation I had to relocate the East Coast. Here I work for two different POS companies that both went bankrupt. I decide to form my own company late in 2004 with it actually happened in 2005. The company has grown from a shoestring operation to well over 700 clients and millions of dollars processed monthly. I see every client once a year and our particular philosophy is to be customer focused. I answer the phone even after office hours

I find doing virtually meeting with clients very beneficial for both parties.  But the training meeting for new products yields poor results when it is a larger group. income is down. I am mostly service the business that are open.  I have not written a new contract in 40 day. Before the pandemic 5 or more a week. (more) income is down. I depend on merchants to have business. At this point all my appointments  Are canceled.  over 70% of my accounts are not doing anywhere's near level of business. Most businesses are at 30%. The professional services have decrease or closed their hours entirely and here in New York the restaurants are only allowed the do take out service.

You could try joining business network incorporated BNI.  There is a membership fee with that. Join the Better Business Bureau also. I found them be extremely helpful in generating clients. I  Have A plus rating and have positive reviews client will seek you out.  There is no such thing as a free... I  Have A plus rating and have positive reviews client will seek you out.  There is no such thing as a free lunch. The above suggestions thave membership fees. You can also take your existing clients to help build your business. I do that by putting a referral sheet in fount of them. Number it 10 going down to the number one. The psychology of it is that they feel that they had to give you 10 referrals. Extremely effective in that 80% of the time I get the ten referrals.  If you do a good job for your customer they will want to help you.

I love asking for referrals. If you give your customers a world class experience it's very easy for them to give you referrals. I also have gotten quite a few new businesses from the Better Business Bureau. Between the two it generates a steady flow of new clients. But none of this would be... But none of this would be effective If it wasn't for delivering the best possible service in your industry.
