Based in Indianapolis and Chicago, Blue Llama Events specializes in luxury weddings, multicultural celebrations, and elevated social and corporate events. What sets Blue Llama Events apart is our ability to seamlessly merge creative design with meticulous planning. We collaborate closely with our clients and an exceptional network of trusted vendors to bring every detail to life—from the first planning meeting to the final farewell. Our thoughtful approach ensures every moment unfolds effortlessly while allowing our clients to be fully present and enjoy their celebration.

We are especially passionate about multicultural and fusion weddings, thoughtfully honoring traditions while creating cohesive, elegant experiences that feel authentic and meaningful for both couples and their families. Whether coordinating complex multi-venue celebrations or designing intimate moments within iconic venues, our team is dedicated to creating events that are visually stunning, flawlessly executed, and deeply memorable.

At Blue Llama Events, we don’t simply plan events—we design experiences that celebrate life’s most meaningful moments with style, intention, and heart.

How We Got Started

After graduating from college, I began my career photographing weddings. While I loved capturing the beauty and emotion of those moments, I quickly realized my true passion was helping couples create the experience itself. I was drawn to guiding clients through the entire journey—from the earliest ideas and design concepts to the final celebration. That realization led me into event planning, where I have been helping couples bring their visions to life ever since.

Over the years, what began as a personal passion has grown into a dedicated team at Blue Llama Events. Today, our company includes six talented planners along with a bridal concierge team, all committed to providing thoughtful guidance, meticulous planning, and an elevated experience for every client we serve.

Together, we work collaboratively to ensure each celebration is beautifully designed, seamlessly executed, and truly unforgettable.

I was introducing myself to some ( semi) competitors in the market and they realized I could help someone they spoke to the day before and I ended up planning a 4 day wedding from that referral!  I am always trying to think of ways to help them in return as well! Determine market need- do you have enough suppliers/ sponsors to pull it off and more importantly enough need to get lots of attendees to make the suppliers feel like it was a good use of their time (more) Determine market need- do you have enough suppliers/ sponsors to pull it off and more importantly enough need to get lots of attendees to make the suppliers feel like it was a good use of their time

Build relationships with other wedding industry vendors. Ask if you can be involved in their style shoots. This is unpaid work but you can gain expierience and build your portfolio.  You may even decide to have a lower rate at first to get some good reviews and then you can increase rates as you... yes! I recommend a little more space between guests at the tables so they don't accidentally pick up each others food or fork. But what a great experience it was for everyone..as long as they didn't get frustrated :) (more) yes!
