About Us

Specializing in executive portraits, Stewart Tilger is an award-winning commercial photographer with more than 25 years of experience. Like many of his Seattle advertising clients — including Starbucks, Microsoft, The Seattle Times and Pemco Insurance — Stewart is a homegrown talent. His photographs have appeared in national ad campaigns and on broadcast television, billboards, buses, and even a few credit cards.

Over the years, Stewart’s camera has captured a curious range of subjects: nerds, jocks, newborns, a two-headed snake, part of a Stealth bomber, things with code names (and NDA’s), shipboard romance in the Caribbean, a nuclear electromagnetic pulse-proof microprocessor, and plenty of lovely regular people. The subjects in front of his lens may be unpredictable, but there is steadiness in the results. Stewart combines a love of the craft of photography with an uncanny ability to bring out the personality of his subjects. Creating attractive and compelling portraits, his focus is on the person. Taken together, his pictures are all about what’s in the frame and not about the photographer.

In addition to his professional photography business, Stewart conducts photography workshops and has mentored young photographers throughout his career.
