About Us

I have been a travel agent for the past 15 years in Citrus County. I take pride in details and helping my customers have a memorable vacation with their family and/or friends. I will research everything for you, give you options according to your needs and wants and do all of your travel documents. If there are any problems on your trip, you have me to come to and I will get it resolved. All you have to do is decide on your trip, pay for it, and go!

I love my job and I love that I can help my customers make wonderful and unforgettable memories.

I am a member of BNI Winning Connections, Crystal River for 5 years, a member of SBA, Ocala, I attend 1 Million Cups every Wednesday, in Ocala and in the process of joining WOAMTEC, Ocala.

How We Got Started

I was layed off from a job because they were moving the accounting department to the Midwest. So I decided to change my vocation because I was a full charge bookkeeper for 45 years and I wanted to do something else. I had worked for a Travel Agency as a bookkeeper about in the 1970's and thought that might be something I would like to do, so I joined a host agency in 2008 and in 2010 changed to the host agency that I am with now. I love planning vacations and knowing that my customers are making memories that will last them a lifetime.

I do not charge a planning fee.  I feel this is part of my service.  I enjoy what I do and I love to have my customers go on a trip and come back and tell me what a wonderful time they had.  I had a family go to Ireland and enjoyed planning the trip very much.  Yes, we used a tour operator but... (more) I do not charge a planning fee.  I feel this is part of my service.  I enjoy what I do and I love to have my customers go on a trip and come back and tell me what a wonderful time they had.  I had a family go to Ireland and enjoyed planning the trip very much.  Yes, we used a tour operator but there was still a lot of work involved.  Then something unexpected happened.  One of the ladies that was going on the trip had a boyfriend who called me and wanted to surprise his girlfriend in Ireland somewhere along the trip and propose to her!  I had a blast making those arrangements and oh, my, was she surprised when her boyfriend appeared in Ireland and proposed.  He texted me and said it went better than he expected and she said "YES"!   The only time I have done something similar to a planning fee was when this customer asked me 4 times for price quotes, but never booked anything.  It takes times to look up and plan a trip, so I felt I was being taken advantage of.  So what I did was I told him I was going to charge him $75 up front and if he booked I would take it off the price of the trip but if he did not book, I would keep the fee.  He never asked me again!

How Do You Book Your Travel?

I have my Travel Agent sites. Expedia is a Travel Agent and they keep the commissions. When we book on our sites for Hotels and Cars the commissions are given to the Travel Agents. If you book on their sites, they keep the commissions, if the travel agent does the booking they pay the commission to the agent. We provide our expertise regarding travel, book your trip, and provide you with your documents, information on whether you need a visa, passport or shots. All you have to do is decide where you want to go, pay for it and go! There is a lot of work involved in looking up information on trips. A travel agent saves you the work and time to look everything up. That is what we provide you...service.
