Good luck with your situation.  Plus, of course, I do not take any payment for these often relatively short consultations, even if the person wants to pay me.

(more) NO, as long as your Will was properly executed under the laws of the jurisdiction where you were domiciled when you signed and dated it.  Also, this includes notarization and having at least two disinterested witnesses sign an affidavit of attestation, if your jurisdiction or state required it at that time.  However, what I often see in my practice (in Wash. state) is that clients WANT to update their Wills substantially with a NEW will (because People have changed, or their Percentages of what they are bequeathing or devising has changed)  , or do a few small changes, which I will do for them in a codicil, which is essentially an amendment to the Will.  THe bottom line, if I were you, is to seek an estate planning attorney in Florida, take your Old Will with you, and see what they say after reviewing it, because every state has its own laws, and I am not licensed in Florida and do not claim any knowledge of Florida laws.  Good luck!
