My Goal… I want to capture images that show who your child really is. In order to do this, my goal is to connect and make you feel comfortable. The pictures taken will tell a story on a day in your child’s life, so that one day you can go back and relive those wonderful moments that we all take for granted.

A little bit about the photographer…
Janet graduated from the University of North Florida with a BFA in Graphic Design and a minor in Photography. As a former art director and graphic designer, Janet is known for her unique sense of style, creativity and attention to detail. She is an expert in photo editing and has mastered the art of composition. As a proud mother of two, she has developed a special rapport with children and their families. Janet combines natural talent with technical know how to create timeless portraits.

The story behind Purple Hippo…
Being a Mom is the most wonderful blessing in my life . Seeing my daughters change daily in front of my eyes has reminded me of the importance of capturing every milestone in their life. The passion of taking beautiful pictures of my daughters is what drove me to start Purple Hippo Photography. My daughters even picked the name….only “pink” hippo was taken. As a mother I know that kids can be expensive as it is. That is why I choose to make my prices reasonable and affordable for families. I believe that beautiful natural photography should be a luxury every family should have. I believe that children are God’s greatest blessing.
