We are seeing a slowdown for this time of the year as homeowners are reserving cash flow, and most of our commercial clients are doing everything in their power to keep things moving forward, including watching their cash flow reserves. We are blessed to be in an industry that is considered essential, and will continue to practice the necessary health steps to keep our clientele as safe as possible.

As business owners we have a wealth of knowledge available through the SBA, SBDC, SCORE, The Chamber of Commerce, JWBC, WBO, etc. All of the training I have received has been priceless, and we just celebrated our 17th year in business thanks to these organizations.

However, we use photos and text messaging to convey information on a job site, GPS tracking to know where our trucks are, and online ecommerce ordering to expedite parts and materials. There is still a very human element for customer service and to update client on the status of a project. Aside from contractual agreements, we utilize change orders and staggered pricing (downpayment, 10% upon completion of a particular stage of the project, and 5% retention until the project is complete and final inspection is fulfilled. The Jacksonville Womens Business Center, Small Business Development Center, and the variety of programs hosted by the Small Business Administration have been key factors in our success over the years.
We support local childrens sports teams, science fairs, individual class rooms, police, fire, Elks Drug Awareness Program, Shriners, and try to support our local nursing homes.
