Something to remember: Visuals. Create visual content that shows your company culture, demonstrates the value you provide for clients, shows off awards/accolades, shows how you're involved in the community, etc. Make it visual (and thusly, tangible) and put it in front of your potential customers on social channels, advertising, etc. I used to be in insurance. And every insurance company looks the exact same to customers. Standing out was tough. We used clever branding, heavy community involvement, and lots and lots of fun, engaging photos/videos shared online.

I do agree with some of the folks below that really narrowing down who your best leads are and what their behaviors / interests are would be wise. Focusing on a narrow group rather than a wider group is smart with Facebook . Also, quality over quantity with your content. Creating genuinely engaging content drives interaction - which leads to a wider reach. Ask questions, stoke conversation, utilize video in creative ways, etc.

Probably best to decide how you want to use your Facebook page:
1) As a press release page, in which to tell existing customers about your business (new products, new hires, closings, new locations, charitable events, photos from company events, etc.)
OR
2) Whether you want to engage in a conversation with your customers AND possibly prospects.
From my experience, the Facebook page algorithm will mostly only hit your existing fans if you're only posting info about yourself. But if you try to engage with your followers, your posts will be spread to more viewers, including some who don't already 'like' your page. More interaction --> More eyeballs --> More awareness --> More interaction
I'd recommend using Facebook as a conversation starter. Get a conversation going with your audience. OR, show them something they'll really react to, and want to comment, like, and talk about. I think Instagram/Twitter/LinkedIn are different beasts, in many ways. But Facebook's algorithm rewards you for creating original content that your fans actually engage with.
