From a customer standpoint, they don't care about the tactics that you use. All they care about is if it can be delivered.
I have used WordPress exclusively for 10 years because I believe the customer has the right to utilize the community to support them with their website.
It also depends on what their site requirements. Not every site should be a WordPress site.
