Stella Chang is a contemporary fine artist and the founder of Art By Stella Chang. Her work includes original paintings and licensed fine art prints, with representation by Rosenstiels. She currently serves as Chair of the Junior & Scholarship Committee at the Salmagundi Club, supporting the next generation of artists.

Alongside her studio practice, Stella shares educational content on art business, licensing, and professional development for artists. Her work bridges creative expression, professional practice, and a thoughtful approach to building a sustainable art career.

I studied fine arts, but spent 20 years building a career in fashion accessories. In 2021, after a serious health crisis, I realized it was now or never to pursue what I truly loved. I retired from fashion and fully committed to art, beginning with local exhibitions and quickly expanding internationally. I immersed myself in NYC’s art community through organizations and workshops, building both skills and connections. In 2021, my mentor introduced me to my first licensing agency. By 2023, I exhibited at Surtex, where I was discovered by Art.com and Rosenstiels, both of whom signed me soon after. Earlier this year, I was honored to be elected Chair of Salmagundi’s Junior & Scholarship Committee, supporting emerging artists under 35. I’m deeply grateful for the people who guided me, and now I’m committed to paying it forward.
