However, everyone (including doctors) is very concern about the current state and trajectory of our health care system. The health care landscape is constantly evolving, except the need for high-quality patient care!
The current traditional Fee-For-Service system rewards volume not value, quantity not quality, reactive not proactive medicine. These genuine concerns are the reasons why many doctors like myself are taking the initiatives of using other health care delivery model such as Direct Primary Care (DPC), to change the way health care is being delivered to patients.
The national average patient waiting time at primary care clinic is 30 - 45 mins, and consultation time with doctor is 10 – 15 mins. At KarisMed, we understand time is essential to our patients’ health outcomes. Therefore, patient waiting time at our practice is 0 -3 mins and consultation is 30 – 60 mins.
Often times after a doctor’s visit, patients are left wondering, did I get to spend enough time with the physician? Did the physician give me enough time to express my concerns thoroughly? Unfortunately, physicians who operate in the traditional model do not have control of these inefficiencies, and they are also victims like the patients.
Our Direct Primary Care practice model is designed to focus primarily on our patients. Our facility offers high-quality primary care services, and operate differently from the mainstream primary care facilities around. We ensure our service delivery pivots around the axis of an enduring relationship between each individual patient and our dedicated physician.
We accept both insured and uninsured patients, but fortunately, we do not bill your insurance. Our patients pay a monthly membership fee starting from $99 for adult, $80 for spouse/partner and $30 for any added child between age 0 -21 years. This monthly membership fee provides you access to several benefits such as:

We work with small businesses too and recently signed up 15 new patients for an engineering company here in Katy. Our DPC plan coupled with the group health insurance offered by our partner, resulted in significant savings of about 60% in overall health care cost over their previous plan. It is unbelievable!
