Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance (AABD) is a comprehensive dance arts education center serving the metro Atlanta area. Our mission is to
provide a first class training experience designed to develop each dancer to their fullest potential.

Our highly qualified and dedicated staff is intricately invested in each student. AABD teachers have over 120 years of combined teaching experience!

In addition to a strong classical ballet program, AABD offers other dance genres to provide versatility for our dancers. Today’s professional dance companies and most commercial opportunities require a dancer to be well-versed in many forms of dance.

We achieve excellence in dance education through a unique approach to teaching and learning. AABD is proud to include the American Ballet Theatre National Training Curriculum. This program embraces sound classical ballet technique and incorporates elements of the French, Italian and Russian schools of training. The ABT National Training Curriculum seeks to provide students with a rich knowledge of classical ballet technique and the ability to adapt to all styles and techniques of dance. We also incorporate Revolutionary Principles of Movement, a proactive theory designed to keep dancers safe and injury free by applying principles of kinesiology and anatomy to dance.
