Dr. Phillips is a clinical psychologist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for adults, children and adolescents. She successfully treats a variety of problems, and her main specialties are anxiety, OCD and depression. Dr. Phillips has extensive training in the most cutting edge scientific and evidence-based treatments in psychology. She is a Diplomate of the Academy of Cognitive Therapy, an organization which sets the standard of excellence for CBT therapists. Hi, I prefer telehealth for most clients. The reasons are that we can be flexible with scheduling (as there's no drive involved and we are both home), I can offer more last-minute visits, I can get a feel for the client's home environment, and I can do a lot of practical exercises right there on... The reasons are that we can be flexible with scheduling (as there's no drive involved and we are both home), I can offer more last-minute visits, I can get a feel for the client's home environment, and I can do a lot of practical exercises right there on the spot. For example, for a client with OCD who is afraid of touching something, or is engaging in excessive checking behaviors, or is needing an object to be placed "just so"can try challenging those behaviors while being coached on the video with me.
