How We Got Started

Mike Adhikari worked for a Fortune 500 company for over a decade. Then, I decided to be an entrepreneur and leverage my engineering, manufacturing, marketing and finance background. I started the M&A (business brokering) business to help small businesses the kind of service that large investment bankers provide. It has been 30+ years of highly gratifying journey.

It is a material amount in comparison to $222 B expected from the 15% minimum tax on book income ($74 B from the 1% tax on stock buyback and $55 B from extending Loss Limitation). This $204 B is the second largest revenue raiser (3rd if one includes prescription drug price reform which is expected to raise $265 B)).  So IRS will have to target smaller businesses. How small? I doubt they will hurt mom-and-pop businesses but I will not be surprised if they go down to >50-100 employees. IRS will have to act fast. If they take years to add the 87 K to current workforce, the revenues will be back-loaded. I doubt that will be acceptable. Also, any manger would grab the $ before they disappear. Even politically, it would be smart to act fast.  I have also read that they will upgrade their systems and software to auto-target businesses.  Smaller businesses are easier target b/c they have lower defenses than large corporations and pharma companies.

Most of our business comes from referral from accountants, banks, attorneys, wealth planners and insurance agents.
