We are the kind of very small business that is apt to be overlooked when the Government come up with assistance. For instance, it doesn't help to have employees who work for companies less than 50 people to not get special unemployment  assistance. The chances of us being able to get a special loan are small. And yet, we have special knowledge, and our 4 employees are true experts in this special field. Most of our products are not needed now, since we are chiefly a company making accessible sign systems for public facilities, and those facilities are now closed to the public. There are so many more timely worries for school districts, government agencies, hospitals and clinics, hotels, etc, that are the chief user of our ADA compliant signs than planning to get a new or improved sign system. But when this is over, our expertise will be in demand again. If we can keep our employees, and keep them working, they can be doing many valuable things. We have little time for R&D or new designs, but we could do that now. For instance, we're working on a special audible sign system. We could thoroughly clean our manufacturing area and reorganize it. (One person at a time could come to the shop, so no contact). With the help of my IT person, I could be giving Webinars. There's a long list of useful tasks. 

We need a bridge loan, very low interest, few requirements except submitting our tax returns for last year and bank statements to prove our normal income, expenses and payroll, and a long time to pay it back. We need it soon! Another help, especially if a bridge loan is not available is a national moratorium on payments on mortgages, loans, and utilities. Interest could accrue, but no penalties. Then, the ability of employees to work from home and receive the equivalent of full unemployment while we are forced to be closed. 

Small companies need to unite in asking for similar assistance. Our voices can be heard, if we all speak loudly. I have written to our state senators as well as my congresswoman. Everyone should do the same.
