How do you handle a situation where someone has made up a story and falsely accused you of things that NEVER happened on social media?

I'd pick up the phone and call them. If you need to get rid of a bad/fake review--have others write several wonderful reviews and make that one disappear in the feed, and then also call/email to report it as fake.
