I personally like grey tones paired with other neutrals. My color development on a project has more to do with the client culture/existing pieces, ensuring that the wall color wraps the space and enhances the visuals, than whether I choose grey or an alternate color.
By far the biggest personal success for our small firm is the opportunity to employee a total of five women in flex-time schedules. I had no idea this was so important to many talented, professional women. So we chose to be creative and offer a business model where we all work the days/hours...

By far the biggest personal success for our small firm is the opportunity to employee a total of five women in flex-time schedules. I had no idea this was so important to many talented, professional women. So we chose to be creative and offer a business model where we all work the days/hours that suit the individual best and ensures top notch performance by the company for our clients. I'm not suggesting this can work for all companies, but I am recommending a more creative approach to tapping into the vast amount of creative talent available from people who are not interesting in 40+ hours a week jobs.
Here at GCI Design we decided to surprise our delivery folks, UPS/FedEx,USPS with small bags of Halloween treats! They work hard for us, we really couldn't function without them - so wanted to 'treat' them this year.

Get involved in your local community any way you can. The ideas that I have seen on this post are great. The more people you meet, the greater your opportunity to promote what you do! And remember, this is a long term marketing strategy, time is your friend.
