Never. Our customers leave reviews for us on our BBB page and that carries the most 'weight' as far as I'm concerned. (more) Never. Our customers leave reviews for us on our BBB page and that carries the most 'weight' as far as I'm concerned.

We close early on Friday and we are closed and offline until Monday. I need to have my staff (and myself) repair from talking about death every day and all day. However, death does not know Monday thru Friday - 9 to 5. So I will monitor our website and incoming emails when we are offline and if we have an immediate or imminent need inquiry, I will process it if I can, instead of waiting until Monday. As a business owner, you do what you need to do, when you need to do it.

Fortunatley, our business model allows, quite easily, for personnel to work remotely. We do not have a brick and mortar. I have always been a proponent to allow employees to work from allow. Allows employees to balance work and family which I feel is very important.  (more) Fortunatley, our business model allows, quite easily, for personnel to work remotely. Our audience is specific. They are coming to us because they have a need. However, the majority of our families are through referrals. Many from Funeral Homes and Cemeteries, as well as prior sellers. The balance comes from pure organic search (Google).  (more) Our audience is specific. People don't want to think about preplanning and/or prearranging. I can tell you that in my family, preplanning and prearranging is not something we put off, but get it taken care of as soon as we can. My company, The Cemetery Exchange, is a national online listing service for private consumers wishing to sell their internment rights. They offer a very generous discount for their property which is a minimum of %20 below the cemetery retail. Many sellers also include, caskets, opening & closings, vaults, markers, etc. We can also help potential buyers with financing through the seller if needed (For preneed only). It does not take a lot of effort to preplan. You just need to do it because tomorrow is never promised.

For the first year I offered to waive our listing fees in order to gain new clients. It worked quite well as it showed that people were actually using our services. We also did this to ensure that our traffic numbers were increasing before we started charging a fee for listing internment rights.
