As a former supervisor of two Adult Mental Health Acute Crisis Stabilization Units and a member of the treatment team assisting the individuals set and meet goals, managing anger was seldom one of the goals. Also, as I worked with the youth and adults in group homes as well as other facilities, I witnessed their anger and realized that their anger was not being addressed.
Anger was one of the factors to their circumstances, however, anger was not being addressed. I knew that if anger could be managed the quality of life will be enhanced. I also knew that most would not or could not travel to receive service. So, I decided to give those that needed the service a helping hand and take the service to them.
