About Us

We cover Lincoln County with two weekly newspapers. We work on a shoestring with only 1 full time employee who doubles as editor and reporter. We have one part time office person, a publisher and our business manager. The 4 of us~with help from several locals who take pictures for us~ keep the information flowing for Lincoln County.

(more) We are a small, rural community newspaper.  We print two papers every week and we were struggling before the pandemic.  There are no new opportunities that we can find for advertising.  We have offered specials, we have offered yearly budget advertising, we have tried going digital in addition to print but it hasn't panned out.  We have less than 20 online subscribers so far.  The trends we are seeing include NO advertising, many people thinking Facebook is going to help them, some people not bothering to pay for their advertising (which is something that was few and far between before) and even the larger advertisers are slow to pay.  Our papers have been in print for over 100 years so we are hoping to continue but the forecast is for stormy weather!!
