(more) Focus on your brand image and have a consistent message through all your marketing mediums. Identify your brand image. What differentiates you from other businesses? What do you want your customer to think when they hear your company name? This intangible asset has a vital role in your long-term growth. Incorporate both short-term marketing (sales that generate quick revenue) and long-term marketing (brand image). Historically, businesses that focus on differentiating themselves from competition in their brand marketing strategy outperform rival competition that center marketing around short-term sales. Running sale after sale can change your customers perception of your company. Ruining the sense of urgency that a promoted sale should create. Sales are meant to increase revenue in a short period of time when your business needs the extra revenue. Bottom line, more branding and fewer promoted sales. You can still give your customers a good deal without announcing a sale. Which could lead to an increase in positive word of mouth and higher review ratings.
