In my line of work, Wedding Industry, I network through other vendors. I network with people in other businesses that do work for our common customers. Couples getting married and planning a wedding need many types of services that do not compete with each other, but will be at the same place at the same time. Often, we depend upon each other in order for our deliverables to be successful. So my advice is, if applicable, connect with other businesses that do not compete with your services but work with your customer base too.
