About Us

Intelligent Marketing is the system I have developed over the past 40 years in the advertising trenches. It is the fundamental orchestration of art and science used to create successful marketing campaigns. This is a deep dive into your business from a client-focused and market-driven perspective, identifying your audiences’ wants, needs and challenges and positioning you as the solution. This process will reveal how to best communicate your brand value to this audience to create awareness and visibility.  It is a multi-faceted approach that coordinates all aspects of a business into a laser-focused marketing machine with the prime directive of increasing revenue.

All of the above are important but probably in this order 3, 5, 4, 1, 2. Of course that would depend on what you are marketing but short videos generally will do best. People don't like to read but will sit through a short video. (more) All of the above are important but probably in this order 3, 5, 4, 1, 2. Word of mouth can be very powerful. Another idea would be to canvas a few neighborhoods with a professionally designed oversized postcard. Start with maybe 25 houses to see how it works. Be careful not to put out too many in case it works too well. If 25 doesn't get results, try a different neighborhood with 50 cards. Maybe the postcard offers a 20% discount on first time. Go slow so you don't overload your capacity.

Grocery store (shopping carts), Radio (in car to school), Church Bulletins, local Sports Publications, or a million other mediums. Do the school websites accept ads? DO NOT GUESS. A bad guess can waste a lot of money. Do your homework and the answer as to where to advertise should be obvious. BTW, I would guess you do not have the budget that AYSO or BSA have since they are national organizations. Look at smaller, local sports related organizations. Hope this was helpful.

And do not guess, this is too important to your success. Do the research, know for sure, then act. Otherwise you may be wasting precious resources on a guess.

If online is still the direction, then you need to very carefully word the announcement. It's not about you or financial stability...nobody cares. What's in it for them? Why is a digital version better FOR THEM. And I agree with one of the other answers, have a transition period where it is both digital and print. Maybe consider some 'online only' content (or ads?). You can then get a feel for how many will look at it in the digital format. You can always go back and say 'the people have spoken' (remember they want it to be about them) and you are going to go back to print only. And once you intro the digital, you need to entice people to it. Possibly a daily email campaign highlighting an article of particular interest that they could read now by clicking the link instead of waiting for the print issue. You need to transition them over slowly, change is tough and some will resist but you can ease them into it.

Once you know who, figure out where that demographic hangs out...Facebook, Snapchat, twitter (social media). Online you can target VERY specific audiences. I would not limit marketing to online alone. What about church bulletins or direct mail or even funeral directors? Next, spend some time on the message. Consumers want to know how your product is going to make their life better. And my initial thought would be to play on peoples emotions "Keep Grandma with you forever" concept. And I would think about the pet owner market as well. Pet people spend tons of money on "memory of their pet items". That might be a whole new audience. Flyers/brochures in pet stores, vet offices, etc Hope these ideas help. For more marketing thoughts, download my FREE e-book at mccaffertyadvertising.com
