Good question! Absolutely the biggest hurdle that we have to jump through as hypnotherapists that almost any other business in the world does not have to jump through. Of course, you have to respect their wishes, however, in the past I’ve just let them know that I couldn’t use their name or... (more) Good question! Of course, you have to respect their wishes, however, in the past I’ve just let them know that I couldn’t use their name or condition. I even go on to let them know it’s more popular for clients to NOT give me a referral. I let them know about DORA and privacy, in effect lulling them into a sincere sense of comfort and respect; and then I always say to them, “If you feel uncomfortable In anyway, believe me, I would never want that for you! However, if you ever come across somebody that you think I might be able to help with their issues; well, there’s no harm in that, right?” If you say it just like that Word for Word it almost always opens the floodgates
