When E.M. (Pete) Nelson started Nelson Benefits Group in 1989, he focused on providing his corporate, professional, municipal, and individual clients with a variety of insurance products and services that left them feeling confident and secure. Before starting Nelson Benefits Group, Pete began his work in the insurance industry in 1962 where he assisted some of the state’s largest and best-known corporations in the management of their group benefits programs. Many of the clients we have today were born covered by group plans that were placed by Pete!

In 2003, Pete took his daughter Kathleen (Kathy) Nelson Evans under his wing. Today, she carries on his legacy by bringing the same level of care in developing employee benefits packages in order to attract exceptional talent and retain those one-of-a-kind employees.
