I agree 100%! There are two main challenges we at Parkwood see most often. The first being family members that are not involved. This situation can bring on depression, sometimes leading to physical ailments and/or drinking problems

I agree 100%! There are two main challenges we at Parkwood see most often. The first being family members that are not involved. This situation can bring on depression, sometimes leading to physical ailments and/or drinking problems
The second is residents that are non-compliant with meds, oxygen, walker regimen, etc, causing frequent visits to the hospital.
Both challenges make it absolutely necessary for our staff to be 100% involved and passionate about the service we provide. Our residents become a part of our family, and we do theirs.

The biggest source of referrals for Parkwood Heights is word of mouth. That being said, these referrals are a direct result of the outside area marketing I do monthly. The key to obtaining quality leads is being a resourceful face in the community.

First find out what their loved one's needs are. The initial conversation should be all about you listening and finding out what the specific needs are. You need to address the current emergency first.
