I’m Catherine but I go by Kat. I am a wife and a mother to two active girls (as well as a mom to a very rowdy Yorkie and recently an even more energetic Boxer pup).

I know what it’s like to feel like life is just flashing before your eyes and to want to capture every fleeting moment!
I'm down to earth, easy going, and flexible. I'm outgoing and energetic. I'm not afraid to drop down to the ground to catch a perfect moment with your toddler or spend the time a baby needs just cuddling to make sure he or she is fully asleep. I will put my camera down and play games to connect to your kids and make sure that they're comfortable in front of the camera. I completely misuse common American sayings and make the silliest jokes. I am not afraid to embarrass myself only to see my clients laugh.

Newborn and baby sessions are usually done at the studio in Madison, CT where you can sit back and enjoy watching your babies being snuggled and taken care of. My goal for the photography is to show off all those little detail and capture them as they are today - small, innocent, perfect. My goal for you is to feel relaxed and confident that I will always use my best judgement to care for your precious babies.
What you can expect from your family session with me is fun. Yes. Fun. Our sessions reflect your families - the personalities, the relationships, the love. I spend time working with you prior to the session to alleviate as much stress from the session as I can. My goal for your session is to help you feel relaxed, spend time with your family and to have some fun! When you're relaxed, your natural beauty will shine through in the images, allowing me to capture you at your best. Majority of the sessions are done on-location (a location you choose or one that you pick from my recommendations).

For me each session is more than just capturing your family in the moment - although we will absolutely do that! It's about the connections, the emotions, the love.

Each session involves planning for the shoot together, spending our time at the photo session, and post processing. All images from your session are carefully selected, edited, and then uploaded to a password protected gallery for your review.
