I didn’t become a coach because it sounded good—I became one because life forced me to learn things the hard way.

I grew up around basketball, discipline, and expectations. As a young athlete, I learned early how confidence, mindset, and belief can change how you show up—not just in sports, but in life. Those lessons carried me through wins, setbacks, identity shifts, and seasons where I had to rebuild who I was without the game.

Over time, I realized something important: most people aren’t stuck because they lack talent—they’re stuck because they lack clarity, confidence, and accountability.

Coaching became my way of turning experience into service.

Today, through David McBride Coaching, I work with young professionals, student-athletes, and high-performing individuals who want to grow—without hype, shortcuts, or surface-level motivation. My approach is grounded in honest conversations, personal responsibility, and helping people reconnect with who they are becoming, not just what they are doing.

I believe growth is a process.
