Private Home Health Care was founded in 1994 by Registered Nurse Mary Demakes in Salem, MA. Mary's extensive nursing experience at top medical institutions, combined with her passion for nursing and senior care, lead her to start her own specialized private home care agency for seniors and others in need of healthcare services.
Mary’s considerable experience expands over a 20 year period, beginning with working as a Pediatric Critical Care Nurse at Yale New Haven Hospital, then as a Private Duty Medical and Surgical Nurse and an American Heart Association Instructor at Mass General Hospital, which was followed by becoming President of Private Home Health Care, and a Geriatric Care Manager.
The company opened it's Marblehead location in 2001. Recent expansion efforts include servicing Greater Boston, Metro West and the complete North Shore with our new office in Lexington. Our goal is to continue to grow and to be one of the premier Home Health Care agencies in Massachusetts.
