Marengo Community Radio is a 501c3 charity operating a 100-watt low-power FM radio station licensed by the FCC. We also stream online at http://www.wxmr.org

We have over 20,000 people in our official listening area of a 1-mile radius around Marengo Community High School, where the station is located. Depending on weather and other factors, our signal can also be heard in Belvidere, Harvard, Woodstock and Crystal Lake.

We play a wide and very eclectic music library, and our current lineup includes over a dozen LIVE talk and music-based shows.

Our founding father decided about 15 years ago that Marengo needed a radio station. He did all the legwork of filing the application and purchasing the equipment, and now our Board of Directors runs the day-to-day operations. We are an all-volunteer organization.
