About Us
Form/Tec Plastics - Shields Windshields is a Thermo- forming company that specializes in forming polycarbonates and acrylics. We do boat, race car windows, replacement windows for all kids of tractor cabs, and even Disney windows for several rides. We also do many custom items as well. We have also started a new branch about a year ago. Utilizing our table laser. We do wood lasering , gun stocks, trophies, and with our graphics area we have added signs and much more.
How We Got Started
William and Jacki Shields started this Co. doing Silhouette fairings for motorcycles. as the company grew the moved to a different location. ending up here at this location.

Well, as the finance person here at Form/Tec -Shields Windshields. A lot depends on the customer. We are a net 30 company and many companies we do business with are net 60 or even more. I have learned the best way to ensure prompt payment with many bigger companies is to negotiate terms at the beginning. Then, it can be enter in the notes what the terms are and that seems to help. Another thing I have learned is to run through a check list of things to make sure things were done at our end before contacting someone about a late unpaid invoice. As well as making sure that there was nothing wrong with the product,which could hold up payment. Making sure that the invoice was sent promptly when shipment went out. In the end though when we have issues getting payment - One way we solve issues with customers is, they are put on prepay with a credit card, or payment is received before shipment is shipped out. That seems to take care of most of our issues for future orders, but as for getting that initial late payment, we just keep trying to contact them and offer payment over the phone with a CC.
