In 2011, Kim had the honor and privilege to attend the Culinary Institute of Tuscany in Italy for training. It was a unique experience to learn quality, to live the culture, and to experience the heart of its Italian people. It was a trip that touched the heart and soul. As a little girl, Kim's Nanny (Nonna) fueled her spirit and passion for cooking, and it was her trip to Italy that inspired her to hold true to authentic Italian food.

In 2019 The Italian Apron began. Our food truck served local food truck parks, breweries, neighborhoods, businesses, churches, schools and private events. Our food truck retired in 2021 and we are now solely event catering and farmers markets at this time. It is an honor to serve our community as a branded company that represents heart and excellence as we bring an authentic Taste of Italy to East Tennessee.
