Susan Yacina
Yacina’s Piano Service
About Us
YACINA’S PIANO SERVICE has been in business for 34 years. The main service I provide is tuning. However I do do small repairs, humidity system installations, appraisals, regulation and voicing. I have a network of technicians that can do larger projects or ones I am unable to do. I am an associate member of the Piano Technicians Guild and a certified installer for Dampp-Chaser humidity systems.
How We Got Started
My background is vocal but I became interested in tuning and repair when a technician came to the house to do a “free” tuning on my daughter’s new piano. I am basically self taught with much help and support of the Piano Technicians Guild and fellow technicians. It has been an exciting ride and I love what I do.

I started my Piano Tuning and Repair business 30 years ago and should have “retired” long ago. I love the work I do and have met many wonderful people along the way. As an entrepreneur one has all the responsibility of the business but that includes the relationships that one develops over the years. It has been through these relationships that my business has grown. I will probably not retire unless my body says I have to. It is great to work for yourself.
I am grateful that my customers have not forgotten my business and are starting to return. I am also grateful to have the support of my family and friends.

My primary customers are private. I will still be tuning in their homes (with a mask and social distancing). I tune in churches when no one is around and in schools after the children go home or on weekends. There will probably be no performance tunings other than for virtual performances.
