Someone shared with me recently that every time we say yes to an opportunity or request that someone has of us and our time, that we are saying no to someone else and their opportunity for us!! This has taught me to be much more protective of my time and not so quick to always say yes. It makes you ask the question "Is this the best use of my time?"

Start with your sphere of influence and let them know you are now a Realtor and referrals are the foundation of building your business. Join a business networking group such as Master Networks and others with a purpose of connecting with people and not just promoting yourself. I personally place myself in front of 200-400 people per week through Allen Fairview Chamber, the two local non-profit organizations that I serve as a volunteer for, groups at church and Master Networks. I am also very active on Facebook, LinkedIn and Google.
