At James Evanow International, I work with leadership teams, executives, and entrepreneurs, providing them with the tools and awareness they need to navigate challenges—both professionally and personally. With over 30 years as a sea captain, I’ve faced brutal storms at sea, but some of my greatest challenges came as an entrepreneur, where the pressure of leadership can feel heavier than 70-knot winds.
Many leaders don’t realize the stress they’re under until it affects their health, relationships, and overall success. That’s why I created The 2 Degree Principle—a powerful keynote designed to help individuals and teams make small yet impactful adjustments that keep them on course toward their goals.

I believe that resolutions are a great way to set yourself up for defeat. I work with all of my clients by setting them up on a 6 month plan to reach their goals. This consists of a business plan, a human needs assessment, and a values evaluation that helps them see where they are with what they value most in life. It is amazing to see how far off most people are from what they truly used to value. I practice these same principles and I do a "check-in" about every three months to see how I am doing. It is almost like checking your course while on your journey. One thing I learned as a captain for the 25 plus years at sea is that all of us will have the tendency to fall asleep at the wheel. You can wake up and find your self miles away from your destination.

Hi Diane, I do not know Sony Vega that well as I am a Mac guy. Have you looked at the settings on YouTube? My videos almost always look and sound terrible when I post them and I have to go in and make this adjustment. (See photo) I also had issues with my audio using a Canon video camera while...

Quick question... do you have an iPad?

I think that the traditional ideas obviously work, but I also believe that the younger buyers are looking at doing things in an entirely different way.
I have some new ways of reaching out to people to engage them and build your list quickly. Feel free to reach out in a message and I will share it.
I still think a solid video marketing campaign on social media done properly is key as well. Keep the videos short and to the point as attention spans are shrinking.
