My restaurant is in a rural setting so Grubhub has not been as successful as I had hoped. I have heard amazing results from colleagues in more urban settings. It is extremely expensive to the restaurant, however, (25%). Keeping food costs inline becomes a bigger challenge. We also have to drive ourselves which can keep costs a minimum.
Our restaurants are small so on busy nights we need to seat our guests in order to accommodate everyone . I believe a good host/hostess should check with the guest as we approach the selected table to be sure it is a table that is comfortable for them.

I think any claims that serious should be verified by the health department before any public post. The health department posts all violations in the newspaper. It is cold and flu season. People often get sick immediately following a meal and associate the illness with the meal, food...

People often get sick immediately following a meal and associate the illness with the meal, food poisoning, however, takes many hours to reveal itself. This can cause a restaurant undo harm. It is necessary to verify claims before posting. And YES social media can abuse restaurants. I have begun using word of mouth only, and no longer looking to social media for recommendations.
