Classical education takes its name from the Classical Period of the ancient Greeks and Romans from which it originates. We follow the Trivium, a three-stage approach to education that addresses the ways in which children receive and retain information, flexibly depending on their age. K-6 is our Grammar School that focuses on developing a well-developed repertoire of the who, what, where and when of each of the disciplines. 7 & 8 is our School of Logic that focuses heavily on a more abstract how and why of the disciplines and heavily implements Socratic instruction as the primary approach to teaching. Finally, 9-12 grades make up our School of Rhetoric where our students learn to form their own ideas, eloquently articulate their ideas, and then intelligently defend their ideas. We currently have 100% graduation and 100% college entry. We do not follow the common core nor do we have state testing. We do prepare our students for the SAT and for college entry. We offer a variety of AP and honors courses as well.
