Good for: small company that wants a blog, put some info online, and contact us presence which many free to use sites already allow: Facebook, Google, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Cons: Many.
Bad for: any company that wants to sell products online.

Wordpress is best for blogs. If you want to use it for anything else, good luck and I hope you have a fat wallet: plugins aren't free, custom designs, payment gateways, product management and custom product page design, delivery tracking, email setup, returns, inventory, sales, backup, database backup, migration, multi-site dashboard, surveys, forms, newsletters, etc. etc.
