The next time your broker has a stock recommendation &he tells you about the low PE ask him what the PE is for that industry. It might be 7 or 8 for bank stocks that are not as active or 25 for a high tech stock like a young Dell computer or CISCO. Also, ask him about the EPS. They should be increasing every year. You want to know the EPS this quarter for the same quarter last year. It should be increasing at least 25%-35%.
