About Us

Jeffrey began studying photography in high school, and started his career taking pictures for local newspapers covering high school sporting events.
In 1982 he became the apprentice of Master Photographer Theodore Haviland of Haviland Photography located in Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ. It was here he became influenced with working with children and families which further developed his desire to become a professional photographer. After years of being mentored and learning the “old school” tradition of printmaking, Jeffrey purchased Haviland Photography upon retirement of my mentor in 1997.
Throughout his career as a professional photographer, he has entered photographs in over one hundred competitions and placed in each. Among my many accolades are many distinguished “Courts of Honor” and “Judges Choice” awards, along with prestigious
“Kodak Gallery” awards. His work has appeared on magazines covers, calendars, and have been displayed in the Professional Photographers coveted “Loan Collection” books many times throughout his career.
In August 2000, after obtaining his certification for professional photography, he also achieved his Master’s Degree in Photography and in April, 2010, he received the Professional Photographers National Award for his meritorious contributions to photography. These awards are the highest honors awarded by the Professional Photographers Association, ranking him in the top 3% of photographers nationwide.
In 2012, he was awarded The Humanitarian of the year award from the Hermitage Museum Foundation in HoHoKus.
