I'd suggest an educational assessment and then a personalized learning plan. Not everyone learns in the same way. Not everyone has the same strengths or weaknesses. Psychologist Howard Gardner called them multiple intelligences. In street vernacular that would be a personal strong suit. In many countries students are educated to work with their particular set of intelligences instead of with a one size fits all curriculum. That's why it's incumbent on you to find out how your child learns best so that can be reinforced and understand their weaknesses so they can get the extra support they need. Good luck to you and your child.
