If the blogging is done right and correctly, then yes. However, any article or blog must be done in combination and correlation with marketing the blog. Simply making a blog doesn't "drive traffic," which is the main reason for doing it. So, there are a myriad of methods to gain some exposure and traction into making your blog/blogs a ROI machine. :)
