Asa thank you for the link to the Grotto. It's a lovely space, very creative and inspiring for folk who use it. Interestingly my first thought was "this is an art space but does that mean it's a sacred space?" Then looking at the smaller spaces I got a better sense of 'place' and I thought "this grotto can be sacred for some folk and a play space for others and something else entirely for other". So my conclusion is that sacredness is something quite personal even in a public area. What are your thoughts? What did you set out to create, what were the words you'd use to describe it?
