About Us

If you're tired of searching for the truly unique pieces for your home and are not a fan of fast furniture and the high prices from big box stores, then we're about to become your best friend! We are an Interior Design firm specializing in sustainable interior design. What does that mean? It means we care about the planet for future generations by transforming previously owned furnishings and excess building materials into high style, completely customizable design that beats any big box store for style and price point. It means you get the home or business aesthetics you've always wanted, without the search, fuss or frustrations associated with never finding the right items that express your individuality. We know your home is a haven waiting to happen, let us help you get there, ethically, sustainably, beautifully.

How We Got Started

When major interior design firms across the Twin Cities and Metro area start calling on you to solve a myriad of design challenges with creative impact and force, you know you're on to something. When designers start buying all your transformed vintage furnishings because of the singular and stylish nature they exude, you know you've got something special.

We've been the creative force behind many commercial and residential design projects but had always been behind the scenes where the public never saw us. When we opened up Omforme Design in 2012, we decided that the entire metro area should have the same chance at obtaining great design without the exorbitant price tag. The idea worked, and we've never looked back!

He is very accommodating and wants to keep all the businesses in his building for the long run - of which most of us are and that is commendable. Fortunately, my business has actually picked up more than ever during Covid, so I am thankfully in no dire need of such options.

I feel it would be like taking an opportunity away from other small businesses who need it more. It’s our communities that need to survive, not just myself or a singular individual, and so $$$ need to go where it will have the most positive impact and outcome. It takes a village to raise a village.

To that extent, we are not as negatively impacted as others who have historically utilized new materials and/or purchases made from manufacturers overseas or out of state.  All furnishings and decor are sourced locally and stored in one of our warehouses or made locally by artisans and small craftsperson shops. Surprisingly, there has been an upsurge in calls due to our focus on the three "A"s : accessibility, adaptability and affordability. I can only attribute this to folks looking at their homes (now that many are stuck inside), and searching out guidance from a professional to make their surroundings more pleasing. I've adopted video conferencing to keep business flowing and new practices from trusted local vendors to deliver items and wipe them down in front of clients from a safe distance.

Talk is cheap but actions say more about a person's character than anything else. Asking for prompt payment isn't being difficult, it is being professional. Expecting your clients to hold up their end of the agreement is just as important as them expecting you to deliver on your end. It is a two way street. Get off the one way street because it's leading you into financial difficulties. Replace your sense of trepidation with confidence that you are owed your worth - especially if you've already proven it - otherwise your clients may just be taking advantage ( intentionally or not) of the scenario you might be putting in place. YOU have the power to ask for what you're worth and get it in a timely manner.

The best way to close a deal is to show your customer "Value"  as it pertains to them. It is the simplest approach when you are customer focused and difficult when you are sales focused. Leaving one avenue such as print behind in favor of digital is like cutting off a stream of revenue that could be benefitting your bottom line. Because there are more ways to try and reach/connect with consumers, it is frustrating that businesses now have to diversify their efforts towards more streams to get the same result as one stream used to do, but that is how our world has evolved. Find the stream that produces the most $$$ while judicially looking at your other less results oriented streams and deciding either how to augment your marketing to fit or dropping it.
