Lisa is primarily a "People" photographer, with 20 years of experience photographing Corporate business clients, Actors, Models, Performers, Families, Events.
How We Got Started
After a long , successful career as a top fashion model, I decided to utilize all I have learned about imaging i.e. making people look their natural best, body language, projecting in front of a camera, wardrobing etc. Though I learned a lot on various film sets , I went back to school to learn more about lighting and other technical details . I studied at Sheridan and Humber College and attended O.C.A as well at one time. A good friend needed a photographer , hired me to photograph people on her agency roster---and it was all uphill from then on. --I enjoy photographing people from all walks of life , in studio or on location. I love what I do and do it with passion. Thus, it does not feel like work and both I and my clients have a great time, while achieving our objective.

I learned that the business side was just as important as the artistic side , one could not survive without the other I needed to learn to be practical not ONLY follow my heart It was hard but essential to my survival .

Creativity, artistic self-expression, have always been my main driving force. In my teens, in Australia, in art school, I painted in oils. This remained a hobby. Later, in Canada, I had a long career as a fashion model but all during this time, I studied and honed my skills as a photographer. Now, I was painting agin, ---but this time, with light! I was also able to utilize all the knowledge I had acquired previously, re. aesthetics e.g. composition, form , scale , balance, colour theory , etc. in my new profession, so photography for me, was a natural progression.
I have no children , no family. So, I channeled all my energy , all the love, into my career. I rejoiced ---and still do, ---in pleasing my clients. I love to make people look their best, helping to bring out their true personality, their character, their inner beauty. I use all my years of experience in front of the lens, to help people with body language, relaxation and to project for the camera--and consequently, to produce an honest but complimentary image of the client that will help him/her make a great first impression and open many doors--or simply remain a captured moment in time ,which the client will cherish for ever. My clients' "thanks" and their happy faces are worth more to me than money. I truly love people and love what I do!
Answer; Holiday strolls would not help my business traffic because I do not have a storefront. The studio is on an upper level, and entrance is facing the parking lot. (Lots of free parking though!) Also, as a freelancer, I shoot a lot on location. I love holiday strolls though and have enjoyed...
